I guess the color of the day is PINK! Although I rarely use it, today I have used it on everything! I love the button jar, (thanks for the idea, Ber :) As I made it, I was reminded of my Grandmother's button jar. Her's was for function, not crafting, but I loved to play with her buttons as a child. What a sweet memory. I feel very blessed today; the sky is blue, the sun is shining and a week old puppy licked my hand. What more could a person ask for?

The Week Begins
It is Monday already! The weekend flew by. Here are three new cards I have created. I am totally into the "fall leaves" look right now. The white 'celebrate' card was a pre-made to which I just added embellishments and cardstock. It is a belated birthday card for my niece :) Alongside the "FALL" card is my first attempt at Polymer Clay sculpting. I love the pumpkin vine. This was a fun craft to try, but I'm not sure that my artistic talent runs this deeply! I also made the leaf and rafia napkin ring, which I currently have on my dining table with fall plates and bowels. Today is sunny and 80*....not very "fall" at all ;)

Sensational Sunday
Here are a few of my latest "fall cards." I am the quintessential 'bargain scrapper.' My goal is to never pay full price for anything. Two of my favorite places to shop are the Scrapbook Clearance Warehouse in PigeonForge, Tennessee and Michael's (in any town I happen to find one.) I always look for items that catch my eye and often buy for the future, which my husband doesn't understand, yet financially supports :) (He wonders why I don't simply 'use what I already have on hand instead of looking for new things). I try to explain that scrapping and card making are "perpetual works in progress" and I will ALWAYS need new things to add to my supply. He loves me, so he supports my addiction to paper products and embellishments. My neice and I share this love affair with crafting and bounce many ideas off each other. This is my first attempt at adding pics. Imagine my surprise at the ease with which this was accomplished!

Saturday
This is my first time doing a blog! I love scrapbooking, cardmaking and all things creative. I cannot wait to get started. (thanks Ber!) Today is a totally "fall" feeling day. It is rainy and cool outside, but we are getting ready for an outdoor Chrisitian concert this afternoon; blankets and umbrellas in hand.
